Wandering through the Lakes, Part 2: Diddlies Along the Way

I like the word "diddly". I don't think it really means anything, which is the whole point. To me, diddly is a noun which refers to a small melody, the corresponding lyrics, a quote, or other small phrases. I found lots of diddlies on my trip. Here are just a few.

Great Lakes, Great Times! --sign entering Michigan

There is hope for me yet...I have to wait and see. --song on the radio

Oh, it was summer time in northern Michigan. --song at the wedding which I sang as I drove through northern Michigan

All your life...you're only waiting for that moment to arrive. --anna's diddly which was someone else's first

Lord, you are good and your mercy endureth forever. --Taylor gospel choir diddly which the Quest band played while we did the motions

Loneliness and the feeling of being uncared for and unwanted is the greatest poverty. --Mother Teresa

Oh, to be all alone in a little cell... --song from Anna's recital

I was born to laugh. I learned to laugh through my tears. I was born to love. I'm gonna learn to love without fear. --another song

Make time...Make peace...Make believe... --poem by Ellen Kort--on the walls of a mall food court. oh, sacred space in artificial environments...
